Dive Into the Beauty of New Zealand's Marine Life

Living in New Zealand, I never stop being inspired by the sea.
I love the way the ocean is always changing — sometimes deep and mysterious, sometimes bright and playful, with light dancing across the water.
When I began painting marine life on silk, I wanted to capture more than an image. I wanted to capture a feeling.

The feeling of standing beside the sea.
The excitement of seeing wildlife in its natural world.
The freedom of being surrounded by blue water.
This is what inspired my Marine Life Collection.

Every scarf is personally painted by me on pure silk, from the first idea to the final brushstroke. I choose each colour and shape with care, allowing the silk to bring its own softness, light and movement to the artwork

Inspired by the Ocean, Painted by Hand

Every marine-life scarf is created individually by me on pure silk, as a conversation between nature, colour and imagination.
I don't simply try to reproduce what I see. I look for the feeling behind it — the movement of a dolphin, the powerful presence of an orca, the gentle character of a little penguin, or the extraordinary colours hidden inside a pāua shell.
These are not simply designs, they are my way of sharing something I love about New Zealand with you.
The luminous surface of silk allows colours to flow into one another, creating the feeling of water, light and movement. Sometimes the silk gives me a little surprise of its own, and I love allowing those unexpected moments to become part of the artwork. 
That is what makes each scarf personal.
It carries my brushstrokes, my colours and my interpretation of the New Zealand sea.

A Touch of Your Sea Adventure

I love the thought that one of my scarves might accompany you home after your time in New Zealand.
Perhaps you have stood on deck watching the waves, felt the fresh ocean air, spotted wildlife in the distance or simply enjoyed the ever-changing colours of the sea.
When you wear your scarf later, perhaps those feelings will return for a moment — the blue of the water, the movement of the ship, the excitement of discovering New Zealand and the beauty of the ocean around you.
That is what I hope my art can do: bring a little of the experience back into your everyday life.
