The Last Scarf I Painted…

And already, I’m Dreaming of the Next One

The last scarf is finished.
And yet, before the colours have even settled in my mind, I am already wondering:

What will I paint next?

Hand-painting silk has become something of an obsession for me — in the most beautiful sense of the word. I can never seem to finish one scarf without my imagination already reaching towards the next.

A colour appears in my mind.
A shape.
A flower.
A feeling.

Sometimes I begin with an idea or a carefully chosen palette, only to change direction completely as the painting develops.

The silk has its own language.
I follow it.

And sometimes, what emerges at the end is nothing like what I imagined when I began.
That is part of the magic.

From an idea…
to colour…
to silk…
and finally, back to nature.

This is what painting means to me.

It is not simply about creating something beautiful.

It is about feeling.
Remembering.
Discovering.
And allowing a little piece of life to become art.

I Dream in Colour

Sometimes my ideas arrive during the night.

I dream in colours.
And in those quiet moments, when the world is still, I sometimes discover the subject, the colours, or the feeling that will become my next painting.
Perhaps this is why painting has become such an important part of my life.
It is my escape from the noise and demands of everyday life.
For a while, there is only the silk, the colour, the movement of the brush — and the world disappears.
